Why AEC Consultant Joined The UK Goan Festival

The UK Goan Festival is the original Goa Day: a full day of music, food and family run by The Goan Association UK, established in 1966. It is one of the largest gatherings of the Goan community in Britain, and thousands of families spend the day on the field at Cranford.

AEC Consultant works with students and families considering higher education in the United Kingdom. Many of the people who most need admissions advice are the least likely to book an appointment for it, so instead of waiting for that call, we took our stand to a day those families were already spending together.

It worked well. Conversations that started as a quick question ended with a course shortlist, an eligibility check, and for several visitors, an application started before they left the field.

What Our Advisers Helped With

Across the day, visitors came to the stand for:

• On the spot eligibility checks: grades in, honest answer out, including when the answer was “not this year, but here is what would change that”.
• Course selection: business, health and social care, computing, psychology and engineering, with and without a foundation year.
• Student finance for parents: the tuition fee loan, the maintenance loan, and how repayment actually works once you are earning.
• Top up and direct entry routes: for visitors already holding an HND or a Level 5 diploma.
• January intake options: for anyone who missed September or needed more time to arrange finance.
