For the 2025/26 academic year, the maximum amounts are:
- Tuition Fee Loan: up to £9,535 per year (covers your tuition fees directly)
- Maintenance Loan: between £4,651 and £13,348 per year depending on your household income and where you live while studying
The Maintenance Loan is means-tested — students from lower-income households receive more. The highest amounts go to students living away from home and studying in London.
In addition, some students may be eligible for extra grants:
- Disabled Students' Allowance — for students with a disability, mental health condition, or specific learning difficulty
- Childcare Grant — for full-time students with dependent children
- Parents' Learning Allowance — additional support for students with dependent children
